The fourth annual Stokin' the Fire BBQ and Music Festival (a KCBS sanctioned event) has been nominated as one of the best in the country, and this year we are much the same with a few exciting and fun additions.
Because of our generous sponsors, we are able to bring you one of the best music line ups in the festival's history...dubbing it for the first time this year, Stokin' The Fire BBQ and Music Festival. We have also added a "sweet" new category to this year's competition..dessert and best of all we will feature a People's Choice competition! Sticking with tradition, we will continue to award our backyard and professional teams hand-made trophies (worth THOUSANDS) created by the Sloss Furnaces nationally-renowned metal artists, award more than $20,000 in prize money, fill 2 stages with great local and national bands both days/nights, host a huge kids area complete with crafts/ inflatables/ entertainment, organize cooking demonstrations and much, much more.
On behalf of the staff and many volunteers here at Sloss Furnaces, we are so excited to be hosting another competition and festival at the National Historic Landmark. We hope to see you all again this year.
